Panel Tour
DeepFilter filters email traffic continuously in the background, but deciding whether that filter is doing the right thing still takes a human eye. As an administrator you need to see which emails went through and what was stopped, rescue a legitimate email that was held by mistake, flag trusted or dangerous sources by hand, and keep an eye on the health of the system. The management panel brings all of those decisions together in a single web interface: it makes the filtering engine's work visible and lets you step in when necessary.
Dashboard
Whoever runs an email security gateway starts the day with the same question:
Email Traffic
Email Traffic is the investigation screen that gathers the entire inbound and
Quarantine
Quarantine is where DeepFilter collects the emails it considers a threat but holds safely instead of rejecting outright. When an email's total threat score passes the quarantine threshold (roughly 12), DeepFilter does not deliver it to the recipient's inbox — but it does not discard it either. The reason is that no filter is perfect: an aggressive rule or a temporary configuration mistake can score a legitimate email as a threat by accident (a false positive). Quarantine is the safety net for that "suspicious band" between definitely clean and definitely malicious — an email caught by mistake can be recovered, while a genuine threat can be deleted for good.
Whitelist
DeepFilter puts every incoming email through a long series of security checks and
Blacklist
The Blacklist is the page where you fight unwanted email in two different ways. The first is direct blocking you show DeepFilter a sample spam email you have on hand, the filtering engine learns that content, and in future it recognizes and catches emails with similar content no matter who sends them.
SMTP Queue
DeepFilter holds an email that has passed scanning in a temporary delivery queue until it is handed over to the destination server. When the destination server is reachable at that moment, delivery completes within seconds and the email leaves the queue; this is why the queue is empty most of the time on a healthy system. When the queue starts to fill up and stay full, that usually signals either congestion on the destination server the email is being delivered to, or a single sender filling the queue on its own (for example, a compromised account).
Profile and Security
Your administrator account grants full access to the filtering engine, the quarantine and every setting; if that account is taken over, an attacker gains control of your organization's email flow. The Profile and Security screen is where you manage the authentication layers of your own account: you change your sign-in password here and add a second verification step (two-factor authentication, 2FA) for the cases where a password alone is not enough.
