The DeepFilter management panel controls the email traffic, quarantine, filtering rules and system settings of every domain from a single place. Any account that can reach this panel is a serious risk in the wrong hands: one full-access account with a leaked password opens up the entire email security of the organization, and an administrator whose permissions have not been narrowed to their actual job can break a critical rule by accident.
Inbound Email
Inbound Email is the central configuration page where you decide which server the email reaching your organization from outside is delivered to, which security checks it passes through, and how anything found suspicious is quarantined. Inbound email is the main entry point for the unsolicited mail, phishing and malware aimed at your organization; this page lets you control that entry point layer by layer.
Outbound Email
Processing the email that leaves your organization serves a different purpose from processing the email that arrives. On the inbound side the goal is to stop a suspicious message; on the outbound side the goal is both to enforce corporate policy (preventing data leaks, limiting sending rate, adding a legal notice) and to make sure your email looks trustworthy to the servers that receive it (a DKIM signature, the right delivery path). The Outbound Email screen brings these needs together in one place.

General Settings
General Settings is the screen where you decide how DeepFilter introduces itself to the outside world, on whose behalf it sends system notifications, which security policy protects administrative sessions, which certificate proves its identity on encrypted connections, and how the security updates published for the server's operating system are monitored and installed. The settings here concern the whole server rather than a single email flow it lets you restart or shut down the server from the management panel. You use this screen for the first configuration right after installation, when you later want to tighten your security policy, and when you need to stop the server in a controlled way. It sits under the Management menu.
